An initiative - taking place at the Level2 Hackerspace on August 4th - designed to improve the usage and functionalities of MISP and to allow all users and developers to dig into its “bits/bytes and pieces”. This Hackathon is a first!

MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform) is a project led by various organizations including the Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg (CIRCL), with the aim to facilitate the exchange of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) about targeted malware and attacks within a community of trusted members.

Information-sharing initiatives will potentially result in the improvement of cyber incident/attack prevention, detection, prediction, response and recovering. Information sharing is a key factor to improve security, in addition to a consistent approach across various industries and sectors.

The MISP installation today counts more than 400 connected organizations and 1000 members. It is being constantly updated and improved.

Therefore, and in order to bring it to the next level, the CIRCL team has decided to organize a Hackathon focusing essentially on the platform. Developers can chose to work from different angles and topics: * Modules * Documentation * Interface user experience API * PI MISP * Website * Taxonomy and classification * Threat actor classification tools * Security code reviews * … More technical related information can be found here: https://github.com/MISP/MISP/wiki/Hackathon-2016

If you are interested and ready to participate in this full day Hackathon (from 8:30AM until 7PM on August 4th), please register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/misp-hackathon-tickets-25734461467
